CELEBRATION OF LIFE FUNERAL SERVICES, KENT

INCLUDED IN THE PRICE

Please note the below price of our funeral celebration of life service is non-negotiable

• Collection & care of the person who has died, until the day of the celebration of life service.

• Use of the exquisite Oak Framed Barn in Egerton, Ashford, for up to 1 hour.

• After the funeral service you will move to the adjacent Stags Barn where you have up to 2 hours to share more memories & have refreshments.

• Gentle Endings Guide/Funeral Director to guide you through the process, including all meetings & phone support. 

• Organising of all legal paperwork and liaising with officials. 

• Cost for direct cremation.

• Transfer of coffin to crematorium.

• Simple black hearse & driver.

• Bamboo eco coffin.

• Music for celebration of life funeral ceremony.

• Celebrant.

• Funeral Director on the day.

• 4 bearers to carry the coffin.

• Design of order of service.

• Fingerprint for memorial jewellery.

• Lock of hair should you wish. 

• Collection of the ashes.

• Grief support both before and after the celebration of life

ATTENDED DIRECT CREMATION AT OUR ASHFORD VENUE

All of the above for the Celebration of Life Funeral AND: 

​

• Transfer of coffin into our professional mortuary after the Celebration of Life service with us.

• Care of person who has died overnight in our professional mortuary.

• The following morning we will transfer the coffin in our black hearse to Medway crematorium for either 9am or 9.30am.

• Your personal Gentle Endings Guide/Funeral Director on day.

• 4 bearers.

• 1 hour in chapel to either listen to music or just spend time with friends & family. Some people just need 10 mins to say goodbye, if you would like you Gentle Endings Guide/Funeral Director can say a blessing. 

• Organising music if wanted.

NON-ATTENDED DIRECT CREMATION AFTER CELEBRATION OF LIFE

INCLUDED IN THE PRICE

Please note this is non-negotiable

• We will come and bring your loved one into our care from wherever they have died and care for them in our professional mortuary, until the funeral celebration of life.

• We will organise all the legal paperwork for the cremation and book the date and time that your loved one’s celebration of life service and cremation will take place. If you would like to know this we will tell you so you can perhaps light a candle at home or with friends & family at the time of the cremation.

• We will take the coffin to the crematorium in our private ambulance on the day of the cremation.​

• We will then collect the ashes on your behalf and you can come and collect them from us in Egerton at an agreed time. ​

• We can take a fingerprint for memorial jewellery and a lock of hair should you wish too. ​

• Your Gentle Endings Cremations Guide & Funeral Director will be with you throughout supporting you in any way you need.

OTHER POSSIBLE COSTS

           Dr's cremation certificate - £82           

This is not included in our cost because it's not always needed. 

​

          Out of hours collection - £450           

If you require us to come and collect the person who has died between the hours of 5pm and 9am Mon- Fri and all day Sat & Sun. Please call us - it's not always necessary for someone to be moved at night.

​

       Out of area collections - from £100     

If the person who has died is further than 30 miles from us there will be an added cost. Please contact us to confirm cost. 

​

                       Extra bearers - £80 each                       

If more than four bearers are required to carry the coffin.

​

         Extended stay - £30 per day       

If the person who has died is in our care for longer that three weeks there will be a daily charge. 

 Visit's to see the person who has died.

 Ashes storage

                 £25 per week               

We will happily look after the ashes free of charge for up to 1 month, after this there will be a charge of £25 per week

payable in advance each month. Please note: If payment is not received and despite all reasonable efforts to contact you to come and collect have not been successful then we will dispose of the ashes respectfully within our grounds.

£1,500 extra subject to availability

Please note: We are legally bound to the person who is organising and paying for the funeral with us. As such we will only ever share details with this person. The person organising is ideally the NOK or the Executor of the Will, or have written consent from them to act on their behalf.
